Nat Grimly (M.D., Ph.D., J.D.) was the CEO of Blechtel Health and Biodefense, Mexico City. Like much of the Business Class, he was genetically enhanced with Neanderthal DNA which offered decreased risk for cancer and increased competitive "edge". He was the son of Joe Grimly, the previous CEO of Mexico City. Joe Grimly met his demise by Hostile Takeover from Nat, who at the time held a minor position in a Data Security sub-department.

In Book 2 of Manmachine, Nat Grimly undermines the stock value of his own franchise in order to trap the CEO of Blechtel Toyko into buying Blechtel Mexico City. Larry Tanaka falls for the trap, and winds up owning a franchise that has become a Burton-Hell cleanup zone. This exposes Tanaka and his backing shareholders to excessive risk, and opens Tanaka himself up to attack from Nat Grimly.

Later in the Manmachine epic, Nat Grimly expertly manipulates the Cartel machinery to execute the difficult merger of Blechtel and Burton-Hell.
